On July 18, 2014, a brave Mitiaro Warrior left us, peacefully, surrounded by family; aged 70 years.
Dearly loved husband of Joy, much loved and respected Dad and father-in-law of Melanie, Rima Ati and Claire, Anthony (Bubs) and Amy, and dearly loved Poppa of Lucas, Quinn, and Angel; and Harper. also loved father-in-law of Nigel.
Loved Son of the late Tangata Noomotu (Cook Islands), loved brother of his brothers and sisters, and uncle of his nieces and nephews. Rimaati's family thank Dr Helen Holden and the staff of Mornington Health Centre for their unconditional support, along with Matilda and everyone at Dunedin Hospital ED on 26th May, also Dr D'Cruz and the team from Dunedin Hospital Oncology.
Rima will be at home at 52 Skibo Street, Corstorphine, family and friends are invited to visit. A family service will be held at home, at 6.00pm on Tuesday, July 22.
A service to celebrate Rima's life will be held at First Church of Otago, Moray Place at 11.00am on Wednesday, July 23, then leaving for Green Park Cemetery.

Dearly loved son-in-law of the late Edith and Len Wheeler, loved brother-in-law of the late Janice and William Stevenson, David and Joan (Wellington), the late Lenore, Rodney and the late Kathy, Phillip and the late Carol, Marilyn, the late Alison Swain, and the late Peter. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.
