THORPE, Margaret Joy (Joy)

It is with sadness that Joy’s family wish to announce her passing on Saturday 20th September 2014 at St Andrews Home & Hospital, Dunedin; in her 92nd year.

Dearly loved wife of the late Tom and only sister of the late Adele Tamblyn. Treasured and very precious wee mum of Lynley and the late Bill Arlidge (Dunedin), Terry and Raewyn (Oamaru), Lorraine and Murray McLean (Gold Coast) and Graeme (Christchurch). Special and loved Nan of her grandchildren and Nanny of her great grandchildren.

A very heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff at St Andrews Home and Hospital for their wonderful care of Joy.

A service for Joy will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Streets, Dunedin at 12.30pm on Wednesday September 24, followed by private cremation. Flowers are respectfully declined, however donations to Diabetes NZ would be much appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages to 32 Wills Street, Mornington, Dunedin 9011.
