KELLY, Douglas John (Doug) – Sadly, on Friday July 10 2015, at the Otago Community Hospice, with his family by his side; aged 63 years young.

Dearly loved husband of Karen, much loved and respected father and father in law of Sheryl and Steve, Rachel, and Richard. Adored and loving Grandad of Madeleine, Piper, and Kate. Friend of Greg, Abby and Morgan. Loved son of the late Bill and Marjorie Kelly, loved brother and brother in law of David and Tina, Graeme and Denise, Maureen and John, Barney and Karen and the late Kathleen. Loved son in law of June Burgess, loved brother in law of Murray and Marama, Colin, the late Christina and Alan, Judith and Alastair. Loved Uncle Doug of Jason; Nardine and Braydon; Mark and Debbie; Nathan, Pat and Brendon; Rachael, Matthew and Allanah; Stacey and Vanessa; and Slade, and their families.

Special thanks to all those who cared for Doug throughout his illness, particularly Dr Bremer and the Oncology team at Dunedin Hospital; the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of East Otago Health; District Nursing; and the wonderful Otago Community Hospice staff.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at the East Otago Events Centre, Waikouaiti at 2.00pm on Wednesday,July 15, 2015, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
