On August 26, 2015 at Dunedin Hospital with family by his side; aged 84 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Janice (Janny) for 60 years.

Loved father and father-in-law of Peter and Debbie, Sue and Richard de Jong, Debbie and Stuart Anderson, Richard and Lynda, also much loved Poppa of Sarah, Matthew and Hayley, Ben, Kate, Scoota and Shaz, Sean, Becky and Tim, Kayla and Fred, Natalie, Hannah, Josh, Emma, Mark and Jess, Katie and Ludy, Bekie and Beau and his great grandchildren, Mitchell, Isaac, Toma, Grace, Oakley, Noah, and Jackson. “Freezer a jolly good fella, - Hip Hip Hooray”.

A service for Ian will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 10am on Saturday August 29, followed by private cremation.
