On October 17, 2015, at Marne Street Hospital, with family at her side; in her 89th year.

Dearly loved wife of the late Ernest, loved Mum of Craig and Margaret, Gavin, Linda, Brett and Tanya, Adele and Richard, and the late Susan, dearly loved Nana, Nanny, and Nan of Scott and Naomi, Neale and Lindsay, Garry and Emma, Blair and Tania; Rachael, Leah and Thomas, Aaron and Karen; Lauren, and Kyle; Ben and Moni, Josh, Daniel, Olivia, and Willow, and proud Great-Nana of Sage, Rohan, Kaitlin, Tobi, Rueben, and Axel.

Family thank the staff of Leslie Groves Rest Home, Dunedin Hospital, and Marne Street Hospital for their loving care of Nira and her family.

A service for Nira will be held in the Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 10.00am on Wednesday October 21, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations to St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
