On Saturday October 21, 2006, peacefully at Ross Home, Dunedin. In her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Reverend Henry Thornton, loved mother and mother-in-law of Bernard and Diane, and Alison, loved grandmother of Sarah, Amanda, and the late Rod.

Special thanks to the staff at Lindsay Ward, Ross Home.

A service will be held in the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church, corner Highgate and Drivers Road, Dunedin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday October 27, followed by private cremation.
