On Friday, January 15, 2016, peacefully at Montecillo Veterans Home and Hospital; in his 97th year.

Loved husband and dear friend of the late Marie, loved father and father-in-law of Tony and Jenny (Palmerston North), Cathy and John, Phil and Lesley (Westport), Martin (deceased) and Corinne and Scott, and Rose and John, loved Grandpa of Stephanie, Jolene and Nathan, Brent, Todd and Sharon; Sandeep, Katrina, Felicity and Jidge; Jo, Matthew and Janet, Karin and Mario; Rowan, Kayleigh, Chelsea, Sean; Amber and Scott, Emma and Dave, Nathan, and Ruby (deceased), and a proud and loving Great-Grandpa of all his Great-Grandchildren.

Loved brother of Tui Mayo, loved uncle of Michael and Nancy (California), and loved brother-in-law of Adrianne and Ralph (Governor's Bay).

The family wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Montecillo for their respectful and loving care.

A service for Colin will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 12.30pm on Friday January 22, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the RSA would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
