On January 27, 2016, suddenly; just short of her 80th birthday.

Loved wife of the late Roy Ferens, loved mother and mother-in-law of Vicky and Tim, Jacky and Mark, Anna and Steve, loved Grandmother of Jeremy and Louise; Matheson, Lachlan, Fletcher; Peita, and Caspian, loved sister of Molly Anderson and John Harrison.

A service for Shirley will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin, at 3.00pm on Monday, February 1, followed by private cremation.
