SMITH, Harold Wendell (Hal) August 29 1924 - November 25th 2006 - Peacefully at Ross Home Hospital. In memory of a talented acedemic, teacher, pacifist, writer and special man.
Hal will be missed by his beloved wife Els, his family Jan, Anne and Katia, Nikki, Ross, Emma and Paolo, Jake and Sarah, Miranda, Donald, Charlotte and Isobelle, Matthijs, Anne, Dylan and Max, his sisters Dot, Marilyn and Betsy, brother-in-law George and Colleen with their family.
Special thanks and gratitude to the many caring and fantastic staff at Ross Home Dunrowan Wing, and to friends Harry and Penny Love, the Community First Team, Shane for taking in much loved dog Jessie, and to grand daughter Emma for supporting Hal and Els when family could not be there. Thank you all for constant care and support.

A Celebration of Hal's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, at 3pm on Thursday, November 30, followed by private cremation.
In the spirit of Hal's wishes, in lieu of flowers donations to the SPCA would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
