Hammond-Tooke, Jean Alice (AKA Jean Norrington, nee Brown)

Passed away peacefully on December 30, 2016; aged 87 years.

Loved sister of Rita-May Brown, and devoted mother to Graeme and Ricky, mother-in-law of Jill and Jan and proud grandmother of Andrew, Robbie, Christine, and Cally.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all the caring staff of St Andrew’s Rest Home, Cedars Unit and to Leslie Groves Hospital, Taieri Unit, for their kindness and compassion over the past 18 months.

We would also like to acknowledge the many friends and neighbours of Jean who were very much part of her life, including those of City Choir Dunedin in the 1990s and St John’s Church and Choir.

A service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held in St Peter’s Anglican Church, 500 Hillside Road, Caversham, Dunedin at 2 pm on Saturday January 14, 2017.

Donations to St John Ambulance in lieu of flowers would be appreciated and may be left at the service or www.stjohn.org.nz.
