Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday March 12, 2017.

Dearly loved husband and friend of Doris, loved father and father-in-law of Allan and Marie (Wanaka), Cath and Paul Harley (Gold Coast) and Iain and Dyanne (Palmerston). Treasured Pop of Linda and Chris, Michelle and Shannon, and Emma; Mark and Emma -Leigh; Brent and Andrea, and Grant and Katerina, loved Great Pop of Caitlin, Skyla, Lucas, and Nikaia. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Iris and the late Russell Hickin (Wellington), Ron and Jeanette Ford (Wellington), Nyra and the late Lindsay McGavin (Dunedin) and brother-in-law of Gwen and the late Neil Williamson (Melbourne) and loved uncle of his nieces and nephews.

A service for Alan will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 3.00pm on Thursday March 16, followed by private cremation.
