- On April 15, 2017, suddenly at his home, surrounded by his family; aged 68 years.

Dearly loved husband of Ani, loved father of Tokorua and Nick, Tiarere and Taka, Mamateinaki and Murray, Teremoana, Mamaakatu and Tulli, Mere and Paul, and Roleni Junior and Trina, loved and respected grandfather of Murumuru, Mikara, and Geoffrey; Taka , and Tereani; Samuel, Cezelia, and the late Liam; Koiatu, Teremoana, Mereani, and Pape; Rawiri, Kalanii, Tulliya, and Teyenne; Haleunu, Vasilis, and Ani; Taana, Tailah, Levi, Gaige, and Lachlan, loving and proud great-grandfather to all his great-grandchildren, a deeply loved brother and brother-in-law of Piva and the late Teira, Mikara and Taiarahi, Tere and the late Enoka, Toka and Vai, Ngari and Poe, and Clarke, and favourite uncle of all his nieces and nephews.

A family service will be held in First Church, Moray Place at 6pm on Friday, April 21. - The funeral service will be held in First Church at 11am on Saturday, April 22, then to Green Park Cemetery.
