Portman, Alice Annie
- On January 13, 2007 peacefully in the comfort and care of Leslie Groves Rest Home; in her 91st year.

Dearly loved wife of the late Arthur Portman and previously Raymond (Tommy) Downes (deceased WW2). Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Stuart and Denise Downes, Raymond Downes and Yvonne White (Wellington), April and Darryl Currier, Geoffrey and Anne Portman, William Portman (Australia), Lorna Croft (Sth Korea), and loved grandmother and great grandmother of her 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A service for Alice will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 2.30pm on Friday January 19 followed by private cremation.
