COLLINS, Shirley Patricia

On Sunday February 18, 2018, peacefully after a brief illness; aged 87 years.

Loved wife of the late Ernest, most dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Vicky and Harry, and the late Michael, beloved grandmother of Clare, and Flora; and Miriam, fondly remembered by Maureen, and Bernadette, loved sister and sister-in-law of Charlie and Barbara, and the late Ruth and Roy, beloved aunt of Dayle, and Stephen; David, Carmen, Anabelle, Kate, and Megan, long term partner of the late Jack Salmon, and dearly loved friend to Shirl, Karen and Paul, Hannah and Ben. Most recently the adored and loving partner of John Jensen (Mosgiel).

At Shirley’s request a private family funeral will be held. A memorial gathering for family and friends to celebrate her life and many friendships will be held in the Chart Room at Pier 24, St Clair Esplanade from 4.30pm on Friday February 23. In lieu of flowers donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the gathering.
