WELLINGTON, Jocelyn (Joce), nee McLeod

On December 4, 2019, peacefully at the Otago Community Hospice, surrounded by her family; aged 69 years; after a long courageous journey with cancer.

Loved wife for 47 years to Mark and devoted mother to Steven, Michael and Richard. Adored mother-in-law of Kate, Erin and Sarah. Treasured Grandma of Sophie and Georgie, Freddie and Ollie, Lucia and Grace. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Alistair and Carol McLeod (Roxburgh) and sister-in-law of Averil and Owen Wright (Wanaka). Wonderful auntie to her nieces and nephew. Much loved daughter of the late Aeneas and Joy McLeod, (formerly of Waipiata).

Special thanks to Lucy Pemberton, Rosie and all the wonderful nurses at the Day Oncology Unit at Dunedin Hospital, for the care and kindness shown to Joce over many years. The family would like to thank all blood donors whose gift to those in need, cannot be measured. Your heart is a special one. Special thanks to all the team at Otago Community Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, it would be appreciated if donations could be made to Ranui House, Bone Marrow Cancer Foundation and may be left at the service or www.bmct.org.nz

A service of Thanks and Gratitude of Joce’s life’s, will be held at First Church of Otago, Moray Place, Dunedin, at 2.00pm on Wednesday, December 11, followed by private cremation.
