BURGESS, Margaret June (June, also known as Johnson) of Dunedin, formerly of Trotters Gorge and Palmerston.

Peacefully slipped away on Tuesday May 5, 2020 in the care of Radius Fulton Care Centre; at the age of 91 years.

Eldest child of 9, born 16 June 1928 in Palmerston to the late Robert and Mary Paul, loved wife of the late John Burgess (Trotters Gorge), treasured and loved Mum and mother-in-law of Karen and Doug^, Murray and Marama, Colin, Christina^ and Al, Judith and Alastair, much loved Nana of Sheryl, Rachel, Richard, Rachael, Mathew, Allanah, Slade, Stacey, Vanessa and their partners, much loved great-Nana of her 11 great-grandchildren, loved big sister of Betty, Bobby^, Gordon^, Doug^, John^, Ngaire^, Russell^, Arthur and their families (^denotes deceased).

“Wow, what a life eh Mum?!...the resilience you showed to get through tough times, coupled with how to enjoy the good with a laugh and the love of a good old sing-along are memories we will cherish...take Christina’s hand and fly free. We will miss you dearly and forever XXXXXX”
