McKAY, Allan John

Died peacefully on June 16, 2020, at his home in Hawea with family by his side; aged 72 years.

Best friend and dearly loved husband of Kay, kindest, most caring dad, father-in-law and best mate of Chris and Sarah, Vanessa and Phil, and Jessie and Michael, best fun Granddad and Papa of Nathan, Chloe, Camilla and Claudia. Loved son of the late Bess and Keith McKay and brother and brother in law of Annette and Robin (UK).
 
Fondly remembered and missed as a part of the Dunedin Music Scene.

Massive thanks to the nurses and carers at the Royal District Nursing Service and the Otago Community Hospice for their compassion, strength and guidance through this time.
 
A service for Allan will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 3.00pm on Monday June 22, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ would be greatly appreciated and may be left at the service.
