Peacefully on January 8, 2021 at Oxford Court Rest Home, surrounded by his sons; 35 minutes short of his 77th Birthday.

Cherished husband and best friend of Denise, together for 50 years, treasured father and father-in-law and role model to Mark and Kelly, John and Andrea, humerous and caring Grandad of Jack, loving brother and brother-in-law of Ray^ and Joan, Barry and Janet, Jean and Tony Wagstaff, special uncle and great-uncle to his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews (^denotes deceased). Special thanks to Dr Peter Gent, Ward 8C Dunedin Hospital, and the District and Stoma Nurses for their loving and compassionate care Thank you to Wood Solutions for their continued support of Dave and his family since 1975.

A Service to farewell Dave will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 12:30 PM, on Wednesday, January 13, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
