TEEVALE, Tasileta (Leta)

On April 21, 2023, at Otago Community Hospice with her loving husband and parents; aged 50 years.

Cherished wife of Matiu, beloved mother of Tai, Tama, and Toa and deeply loved and treasured daughter of Fuifui Snr and Roberta. Much loved sister of Osana, Fuifui Jnr and Faalupega and loved by all the Teevale and Ratima whanau.

Leta was a highly accomplished and recognised leader, who has been a lifelong advocate for Pacific peoples’ education. She was known for her open nature, generosity, ready laugh and sense of style. Despite her many accomplishments, her three boys were her greatest source of pride and joy.

A family service will be held in First Church, Moray Place at 5pm on Thursday, April 27. The funeral service will be held in First Church at 11am on Friday, April 28, then to Dunedin City Cemetery on Blackhead Road. Following interment, we will return to First Church for a shared meal and formalities.
