On October 12, 2007 at Auckland City Hospital after a short illness.

Dearly loved and treasured partner and irreplaceable friend of Lyn Kennedy. Loved son of the late May and Bill Grainger, loved brother and brother-in-law of Reta and Jim Mason, Neville and Sharon and loved uncle of his nieces and nephews. Loved Dad of his canine companions Inga, Tana, and Rupert.

A service for Jeff will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 2.30pm on Friday October 19, followed by private cremation.
