After enjoying a special Christmas Day with family in Cromwell, John passed away unexpectedly, late in the evening, of December 25, 2023, surrounded by his family; aged 78 years.

Loving and treasured husband for 53 years of Dianne, loving and dedicated father and father-in-law of Michael and Liz, cherished Grandad of Jesika, and Matthew, loved son of the late Claude and Gladys, loved brother and brother-in-law of Gaynor and Neil Maitland, loved son-in-law of Sheila and Rua Hore and loved brother-in-law of Deidre, and Barbara.
John is loved and will be missed by his extended family and friends, including cousins and family in Australia.

A service to celebrate John’s life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 2.00pm on Friday, January 5, 2024, followed by private cremation. Messages to 139 Gladstone Road South, Mosgiel 9024 or on John’s page above.
