SUTHERLAND, PETER HUGH (SAM)
Peacefully, after a stoic and valiant battle, forever aged 32.

Youngest child of Murray; and Thelma. Little brother of Craig and Karen; Debbie; and Lynne; and dearly loved big little brother and friend of Alicia and Glen. Proud uncle of James, Thomas and Ben. Valued member of Dave Warren's University of Otago Chemistry Outreach team, and great friend to many. Sam's quirky and thoughtful nature left a deep impression on all who met him and he will be greatly missed.

The family wish to sincerely thank the many dedicated medical professionals involved in Sam's care for their support and compassion - Dr Vanessa Durandt, Dr David Anderson, Dr Lyndal Kelly, and the amazing team at Dunedin Hospital Oncology and Radiation; Angela Melrose, Maddi Post and team at The Cancer Society; Dunedin Health Centre; RDNS; Otago Community Hospice; Dr Argy Song and the incredible team at the Dunrowan Unit at Ross Home as well as Austin Hospital in Melbourne.

In lieu of flowers and in recognition of the phenomenal care Sam recently received, donations to the Otago Community Hospice will be greatly appreciated either online or at the service.

A celebration of Sam's life will be held  in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 19.
