On December 6, 2007 suddenly but peacefully at Dunedin Hospital; aged 81 years.

Dearly beloved husband of Verna, loved dad and father-in-law of Duncan and Julie (Blenheim), Angus and Mary (Auckland), Duguld and Nicola (Melbourne), Hamish and Jules, Adele and Dave McBride, loved grandpa and papa of Finn; Megan, Fraser, and Ellen; Grace, Alice, and Rose; Jessie, Zandria, and the late Morgan; Sophia and Willie, and Jonty and great grandfather of Maxwell, and Lachlan.

A Service to celebrate Allan's life will be held in Knox Church, George Street, Dunedin at 1.30pm on Tuesday December 11, followed by private cremation.
