At Dunedin Hospital on December 23, 2007 (late of St Barnabas) in her 96th year.

Loved wife of the late Alex. Much loved and will be sadly missed by all her family, son John, daughter-in-law Margaret, grandchildren Alan & Liv (Aberdeen), David & Joanne, Michael and Nigel. Loving great-gran of Ngaire & Alex (Aberdeen) and Charlotte. Also loved aunt of her nieces and nephews.

A service for Gertie will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 2pm on Friday December 28, followed by private cremation.
