On January 22, 2008 peacefully at Dunedin Hospital.

Dearly loved wife of the late Andy, loved mother of Nicholson, (Amsterdam), loved sister and sister-in-law of the late Bert and Gwyn Lainchbury (Invercargill), the late Elaine and Walter Smail (Dunedin), the late Jack and Hazel Lainchbury (Invercargill), Patricia and the late George Lainchbury (Dunedin), Betty and the late Doug Keane (Timaru), Wilfred (Dunedin), Vivian and Duncan Adams (Dunedin), Pat and Len Seear (Christchurch). Loved aunt, great aunt, and great great aunt of her many nieces and nephews.

A service for Di will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, at 10am on Tuesday January 29, followed by a committal service at 3pm, Eastern Cemetery, Invercargill.
