On February 2, 2008, peacefully at the Otago Community Hospice.

Dearly loved husband and best friend of Audrey for 60 years. Much loved father of Joan & Dermot O'Brien (Auckland), Maree & Gary Murphy (Lower Hutt), Yvonne & Tony Eyre (Dunedin), Kevin & Jo (Auckland), John (Dunedin), Terry (Singapore), Barbara & Ian Perry (Wanaka), Catherine (Christchurch), Kerry & Stuart Davis (Christchurch), and dearly loved granddad and poppie of his 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Bill's Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick's Basilica, Macandrew Road, at 11am on Tuesday February 5, followed by private interment at Green Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
