BANNISTER Peter, Emeritus Professor of Botany, University of Otago

On Tuesday February 26, 2008, peacefully, of cancer, in the care of the Otago Community Hospice, aged 68 years.

Dearly loved husband of Jennifer, loved friend and former husband of Margaret, much loved father of Matthew, Paul and Katy. Loved Grandad of his grandchildren, Tom and Albert, Saffi, Zoe and Rouane, Cole and Will. Esteemed and loved father in law of Alice, Cathy and Andrew. Loved son of the late Greta and John Bannister, and brother and brother in law of Eric and Elsie.

A service for Peter will be held in Hope & Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 10am on Saturday March 1, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
