On September 27, 2008 peacefully in Dunedin surrounded by his family; In his 98th year.

Devoted husband of the late Connie, loved and respected father and father-in-law of John and Miria (Wellington), the late Laurel, and the late Kerry, adored Grandad of Jacqueline and Brian, John and Debbie, Rochelle, Moana, and Robyn and Nathan, loved old Grandad of his 11 Great Grandchildren. A service will be held in the Port Chalmers Town Hall, Grey Street, Port Chalmers at 2pm, on Wednesday October 1, followed by private cremation.
