On November 7, 2008 peacefully at Dunedin Hospital; aged 81 years.

Beloved husband of Jo, loved Dad, Step-Dad, Grandad, and Great Grandad of Wendy, Frank, Sandra, and Robert; Brent, Rebecca, and Belinda; Bronte, Hugh, Finn, Lucy, and Charlie.

'A great man and friend who will be sadly missed by all'.

A service for Syd will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, at 2.30pm on Friday November 14 followed by private cremation.
