On December 1st, 2008 at Little Sisters of the Poor, in her 100th year.

Dearly loved wife of the late Keeble Hayward. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Dianne & Gordon Jackson (Mogghill House, UK), John & Glenda Hayward (Dunedin). Loved granny of Anna, Kate, and Tom; Matthew, Andrew, and Kirsten, and great-granny of all her great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Ethel's life will be held in St Thomas Anglican Church, Pine Hill Road at 3pm on Friday December 5, followed by private cremation.
