On March 12, 2009 at Dunedin Hospital after a short illness; aged 85 years.

Loved husband of the late Gwen, Stepfather of Nina Mielnik (Melbourne), Richard Hall (Brisbane), and Peter Hall (Dunedin) and their partners, and 'Sid' of the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A service for Sid will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, at 1pm on Tuesday March 17 followed by private cremation.
