On Monday July 20, 2009 aged 76 years.

Dearly beloved husband of Margaret. Father, father-in-law and grandfather of Rory and Janice; Michael, Motoko, and Rikke; Shaun, Suzanne, Abbey and Daisy; and Ruth and Zoe.

A service for Hew will be held in Ross Chapel of Knox College, Knox Street, Dunedin at 1.30pm on Friday July 24 followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
