On August 17, 2009 suddenly doing what he loved to do - skiing at Treble Cone, Wanaka; aged 62 years.

Dearly loved husband and soul mate of Val. Loved and loving dad and friend of Stephanie and John, Philippa and Sam. Loved son of the late Fred and Jean Ransom. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Heather and John Walker, brother-in-law of Nick and Heather Nicolson and loved uncle of his nieces and nephews.

A service for Ross will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 12noon on Saturday August 22, followed by private cremation.
