Peacefully, after a long illness, on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Otago Community Hospice; in his 77th year.

Dearly loved husband and mate of Val for 50 years, much loved father and father-in-law of Shirley and Rick Sibbetts (Canton, New York), Debbie and Alan Chapman (Winchester), Donna and Richard Lord (Dunedin), Fona and Hans van Leeuwen (Dunedin), Kerri and Mark Wylie (Mosgiel), Martin Nixon (Palmerston), loved grandad Niko of Kristie, Tiffany, Briana, Eric, Logan, Shaelynn Sibbetts; Alanna and Russell Peck, Jenna, James Chapman; Rochelle, Niki, Scott Lord; Blake Porter, and Izaak van Leeuwen; Emma, and Kate Wylie and great grandad of Hunter Sibbetts and Charlotte Lennon.

He can now check out his final highway.

A service will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 2pm on Monday September 21, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations for the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left and the service.
