On October 17, 2009 suddenly at Dunedin; aged 43 years.

Loved youngest son of Jim and Margaret. Loved brother of Lurlene Roddick (Ashburton), Wendy Lott and the late Neil. Loved and cherished dad of Celeste and Josh (Palmerston), friend of Paulette and Lee, Margaret (Maggie). Much loved and respected uncle of Justin (Darwin), and Jamie Lott, Crystal and great uncle of wee Ryan. Also loved uncle of Jeremy, Karla and Ben (Ashburton), Jasmyne (Nelson) and Luke (Sydney), loved cousin of Jill (Auckland), Michelle (Brisbane) and the late John Burnside, Karen Hawkins (Christchurch), Gerald (Marton), and Laurie Forbes. Deeply loved nephew of Anne Devenney (Timaru) and Avis and Ray Foote.

A service for Gary will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 11am on Wednesday October 21, the funeral then leaving for the Palmerston Cemetery.
