On October 8, 2010, peacefully at home after a short illness, surrounded by his family; in his 81st year.

Dearly loved husband of Shirley. Loved father and father-in-law of Cheryl and the late Chris Brundell, Dariel and Geoff Osborne, Warren and Kathy, Ken and Lesley, Kelvin and Amanda. Much loved Grandad of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Son of the late Jack and Mary Seyb.

A service for Ian will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin at 1:00pm on Thursday October 14 followed by private cremation.
