On November 26, 2010; suddenly at Dunedin Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends; aged 65 years.

Most dearly loved and loving husband of Kay, awesome father and Korkor to his children, and grandchildren; Yoland, Cameron, and Daniel; Debbie, Ulutoto, Rihari, Talosaga, and Patrick; Lee, Mica, Manuella, Zoey, and Mattias; Sharleen, Crystal-Anne, and Joseph; Eugene, Tracey, Joshua, and Brittany; Marnie, Peter, Imogen, Logan, and Oliver.

Dearly loved son of Te Raha Pati and the late Winnie, mostest loved brother of Fred and Bobbi, Winnie and Rocky, Georgina and Warren, Raymond and Ngaire, Trisha and John, Muriel and Mike, and Carol. Best friend of Cyril and Miriam Torrance, loved uncle of Kimberley, Courtney, and Bradley.

A service for Richard will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 2.30pm on Tuesday November 30, the funeral then leaving for the Dunedin Crematorium.
