MEEHAN, Thomas Walter (Walter)

Peacefully in his sleep on Friday March 11, 2011 at the Otago Community Hospice; in his 90th year.

Devoted husband and best friend of Maureen, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Sue and Chris, Barry and Brenda, Lindsay and Marlane, Helen and Murray Haig, Barbara and Phil Adams, Paul and Dawn, and also a loved grandfather and great-grandfather.

Special thanks to the staff at the Otago Commumity Hospice for the care and support shown to Walter and his family.

Requiem Mass for Walter will be celebrated in St Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Magnetic Street, Port Chalmers at 1pm on Tuesday March 15, followed by private cremation.
Rosary will be held at 4 Fairview Terrace, Sawyers Bay at 7pm on Monday March 14.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

Death had to take him sleeping, for if he had been awake there would have been a fight. Walter's legacy lives on.
