of Frances Hodgkins Retirement Village and late of Elm Row, Dunedin.

On April 28, 2011, peacefully at Dunedin Hospital, in his 88th year.

Dearly loved husband of the late Vaseti, loved father and father-in-law of Gerald and Helen (Christchurch), Mireka and Greg, and the late Frances and Dominic, much loved Grandad of Natalie, and Anita; Natasha, Shea, and Dion. Beloved brother of Hank, Gerald, Piet, Bep, Wilhelmina, Greet, and Henderieka.

"A strong and courageous fighter, with a cheeky sense of humour till the end, now at peace".

John's Cook Island family and friends are welcome to spend time with John in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street from 3 pm - 5 pm today, Saturday.

A service will be held in First Church of Otago, Moray Place, Dunedin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday May 2 then leaving for the Green Park Cemetery.

A family service will be held in the Church at 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening.
