On September 13, 2011 peacefully at Marne Street Hospital, Dunedin; aged 90 years.

Much loved husband of the late Marjorie, loved father and father-in-law of Ken
and Nancy (Dunedin), Geoff and Lynette (Auckland), Pat and Doug Gill (Dunedin), loved grandfather of Sherie, Gareth, and Bevan; Derek; Cherylynn, and Robert; loved great-grandfather of Perri, Logan; and Samantha.

A service for Allan will be held in the St Clair Presbyterian Church, 51 Albert Street, St Clair, Dunedin at 1pm on Friday September 16, the funeral then leaving for the Green Park Cemetery.
