Jon died peacefully at the Otago Community Hospice, Dunedin, New Zealand on October 2, 2011; in his 51st year.

Will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

A service for Jon will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin at 9:30am on Wednesday 5th October, followed by private cremation.
