On October 3, 2011, peacefully at Hutt Hospital after a determined bid to defy medical science. Aged 91 years.

Dearly loved husband of Dorothy for 55 years. Loved father and father-in-law of John and Iris, and Murray and Shirley. Loved Poppa of Mike, Paul and Michael, and Grandpa Viv of Andrew and Mark. Loved brother of Leah and the late Miriam, Ruth and Bill.

A gentle man.

The family invite you to farewell Viv at Holy Trinity Church, 4 Gordon St, Avalon, Lower Hutt on Friday 7th October 2011 at 11.00am.

Instead of flowers, you may wish to leave a donation to the Stroke Foundation at the service.
