On November 6, 2011 at Dunedin Hospital, aged 79 years.

Dearly loved husband of Dini, loved father and father-in-law of John and Alison, Kathy and Bill Hitchcock (Christchurch), Nikki, and Jacki, much loved Opa to Joshua, and Marieka.

At Fred's request a private funeral will be held.

In lieu of flowers donations to Mercy Hospital Charitable Outreach would be appreciated and can be sent to Private Bag 1919, Dunedin.
