On November 14, 2011, at Montecillo, in his 85th year.

Dearly loved husband of the the late Rua, loved father and father-in-law of Shayne and Anne, Jim and Karen, and Michael and Tracey (Cromwell), dearly loved grandfather of Bridie; Kellie and Matt Callebaut (Brisbane), Shannon (Brisbane), and the late Brett; and Abbey (Cromwell), loved Poppa Thwaites of Adi and Pari (Auckland), and great-grandfather of Alyssa, Cassandra, and Maddison (Brisbane).

Special thanks to all those who have cared for Allan at Dunedin Hospital, Ward 6A, Oxford Court, and Montecillo.

A service will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday November 17 followed by private cremation.
