On November 23, 2011 suddenly and unexpectedly at Wakari Hospital, Dunedin; aged 53 years.

Dearly loved son of the late Sylvia. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Marilyn and Ron Smith (Christchurch). Loved uncle Al to Michael and Joanne, Richard and Heidi, and his great niece and nephews, Olivia, Brayden and Jack. A much loved nephew and cousin to many. Dearly loved friend of Dorothy.

A service to celebrate Alister's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin at 11am on Tuesday November 29 followed by private cremation.
