Passed away peacefully on 11 May 2012 at the Otago Community Hospice after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Michael and Mina, Janine and Rob, Deirdre and Tim. Loved nana of Shannon and Garry, Hailey, Samantha, and Stacey. Great nana of Jordon, Izac, Claudia and Matthew.

A huge thank you to the Oncology Department, District Nurses and the Otago Hospice for all their care and support.

A service for Val will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 1pm on Wednesday May 16, the funeral then leaving for the Dunedin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations for the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
