On June 11, 2012 suddenly at Dunedin Hospital, nine weeks short of her 100th birthday.

Loved wife of the late James, loved mother and mother-in-law of Jim and Pam (Edmonton, Canada) and Barry and Ruth (Green Valley, Palmerston). Loved Grandma of Michael, Serena and Darren, Allan and Jodie, Kay and Tim, and loved Great Nan of Callum, Bretton, Lilly, and Max.

A service for Nell will be held in St James Presbyterian Church, Tiverton Street, Palmerston, at 11am on Monday, June 18, followed by private cremation.
