WHEELER, Doreen Daisy (formerly Smitheram), of Palmerston.

On June 17, 2012, peacefully, at St Andrew's Home and Hospital, Dunedin, after a short illness; in her 86th year.

Dearly loved wife of the late Kelvin Wheeler and the late John Smitheram. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Shirley and Andrew Horsman (York U.K.), loving Grandma of Francis and Joanne Horsman (U.K.), and Clare Horsman (Japan). Proud Great-Grandma of Edward and Tom Horsman (U.K.), much loved Auntie Doreen to her Palmerston Church family.

Special thanks to the staff of Ward 6A Dunedin Hospital, and St Andrew's Home and Hospital for their wonderful care and support.

A service for Doreen will be held in St James Presbyterian Church, Tiverton Street, Palmerston, at 1pm on Friday, June 22, followed by burial at the Palmerston Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers donations to St Andrew's Home and Hospital would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
