On December 29, 2012 at Dunedin Hospital; In her 91st year.

Dearly loved wife of the late Bert, much loved mother and mother-in-law, Nana and great Nana of Wendy and Arthur Smith (Milton), Glenice and Laurie Mayo, Tony and Tara (Melbourne), Ben and Rebecca (Melbourne), Barry and Anne, Joanna (Invercargill), Clare and Logan (Invercargill), and Megan (Perth), Marilyn and Alan Trent, Richard, Aimee, and Zoe, and Penny (Christchurch), Geoff and Dariel, Jason, Sarah and Ryan (Invercargill).

A service for Joyce will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 10am on Thursday January 3 followed by private cremation.
