On 24 February 2013 peacefully at Dunedin, Ralph, the beloved and loving husband of Mary McFarlane; loved father of Andrea, grandfather of Jack, Alice and Holly; loved son of Ana Maria and Tangirau Kirihimete Hotere; loved brother of Ellen, Maraea, Harata, Moss, Winiata, Raukura and the late Raiha, Jack, Celia, Maria, Tia Toa and Barney. Loved uncle and great uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Joseph's Cathedral, Rattray Street, Dunedin at 11am on Thursday February 28, tangi to follow at the Matihetihe Marae, Mitimiti.
